2 Responses to "In Support of the Writers' Strike"I can't believe the writers went on strike. maybe with this time off they can think up some new story lines. It seems television writing has gotten so bad lately.
These writers aren't just tv writers, they're writers for movies, radio, and tv. And they're striking because the studios/networks don't want to give them royalties on new media, right after studios/networks like Viacom sued Youtube for 5 BILLION dollars.
How would you like if you wrote a story, and others were making BILLIONS off it being shown on things like Youtube, but you don't get anything? Only the executives and money people who had very little with WHY people are willing to pay for these things in the first place.
Oh yes, people run out to buy Star Wars because Joe Shmoe was the producer. The writers are just trying to get their fair share.
