Boxer did the Right Thing, Will Lieberman?

Found out Barbara Boxer called up Ned Lamont, not only to show support, but also offered to stump for him.

Very nicely turned around, Ms. Boxer. I knew you'd offer support, but the offer of stumping for him? Classy.

Judging from what I've read (via Atrios)about Lieberman's talk with Matt Lauer on the Today Show this morning, it doesn't seem like Lieberman will back away from an independent run.

Now, as an independent, he's free to receive money from Republicans. I just hope he's not dumb enough to think no one will find out. But then, these are the guys who thought maybe people and the FBI will actually fall for the notion that a suspended webpage means someone hacked their site, instead of the bandwidth being exceeded.
